What a heart-warming meeting.
Our Guest Speaker was Aimee Hayes and Sam from MYGO. MYGO is a modern youth employment service for 16-24 year olds looking for jobs; training or education in and around Felixstowe.
Aimee has had great success and we heard a lovely story about a young lad who suffered from Autism placed in full time employment in McDonalds and he is absolutely lovin’ it !!
Following on from this, we had a delicious carvery meal from the Brook Hotel.
There will be no Lunch in February therefore I look forward to seeing you all in the March.
Our next lunch is to be held on Wednesday 8th March at the Brook Hotel. Our Guest Speaker is Myself Deb Day on The benefits of investing in a pension !! (One definitely not to be missed).
November Felixstowe Business Lunch:
Well this month was a very informative meeting with the lovely Jo Reeder from Suffolk Age UK. After everybody introduced themselves and explained briefly what they did we then got underway with Our Guest Speaker. We had a very interest presentation including how Suffolk Age UK is helping the elderly in our community. The facts and figures were quite astounding and you begin to realise how many elderly people there are and possibly why the state pension age keeps increasing.
Following on from this, we had a lovely carvery meal from the Brook Hotel. Business cards were being swopped and appointments were being made.
There will be no Lunch in December therefore I look forward to seeing you all in the New Year.
Our next lunch is to be held on Wednesday 11th January at the Brook Hotel. Our Guest Speaker is Aimee Hayes and Ben from MYGO. MYGO is a modern youth employment service for 16-24 year olds looking for jobs; training or education in and around Felixstowe.
May I take this opportunity to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!

We had a very useful presentation from Steve Mayhew from ActionCoach on how to turn your clients from a prospect into a Raving Fan!!
Following on from this as always we had a lovely carvery meal from the Brook Hotel with a few opting for the lighter option! Business cards were being swopped and contact details were being taken of Business that will be able to help each other. All in all a very successful meeting.

Well this month was a fantastic and vibrant business lunch. After everybody introduced themselves and explained briefly what they did we then got underway with Our Guest Speaker. We had a very informative and interesting speech from Therese Coffey our local Conservative MP on local issues but also the recent Brexit.
Therese answered some very controversial questions and then took her time to go around the room to each table answering any further questions.
Following on from this as always we had a lovely carvery meal from the Brook Hotel with a few opting for the more lighter option! Diaries were then being brought out and appointments were being booked with each other in and around the room. All in all a very successful Business Lunch.

Exciting News starting from May 2014.
We have teamed up with a local fellow Business to jointly host the Felixstowe Business Lunches.
The lunches going forward will take place on the 2nd Wednesday of the Month commencing Wednesday 14 May.
This is a great opportunity for two local Felixstowe businesses to work in partnership with each other bringing the local business community together.
Myself, and Adrian Bradshaw of The Felixstowe Flyer are very excited of the opportunity that this brings to Felixstowe. It opens up the opportunity of like-minded Business coming together in a relaxed atmosphere. It also means that those Business who are unable to make a Breakfast meeting have the option to be able to come together at lunch time at The Brook Hotel from 1pm to 2pm.
Debbie’s next Felixstowe Community Business lunch is on Wednesday 23rd April 2014
Time: 1pm to 2pm
Venue: The Brook Hotel
The aim of our monthly business lunches are to offer a great opportunity for like-minded people, in local businesses, to get together in a relaxed yet business focused atmosphere to discuss business as well as local issues. The lunches are always on the 4th Wednesday of the month.
We are keen to encourage the business community of Felixstowe and surrounding areas to use the services of local businesses. The lunches will provide the opportunity to discover and meet businesses on your doorstep that could help you.
The business lunch meetings will be held monthly and will start promptly at 1pm, so it would be advisable to arrive a little before. There will be no pressure to stand up and publicly speak, unless you want to of course; the meeting will last for just an hour.
I am sure you will enjoy the meeting and of course, you are under no obligation beyond the cost of lunch, £10.
We do hope you will be able to join us.
If you would like any further information please do not hesitate to email or give me a call.
